A Graduate Intern’s Journey

Demonstrate how you meet the person specification, why you are a suitable candidate and why a graduate internship with Locala appeals to you.
Interview
If your online application is shortlisted you will be invited to attend an interview.
Recruitment
If you are successful at interview, we will carry out some pre-employment checks in preparation for you joining us.
Inductions
You will attend an IT induction with other new starters, a team induction and a graduate welcome event where you will be introduced to our Graduate Network
Supervision
You will be supported by our team of internship colleagues, and have the opportunity to support other graduates and share experiences.
Development Opportunities
You will have the opportunity to enhance your personal and professional development by accessing training and workshops.
Exit and Evaluation
Your internship will end with a project presentation which will enable you to showcase your portfolio and evaluate how the experience you have gained will support your journey into future employment.
Guidance for Applicants
Read the Job Description and Person Specification documents before applying. Demonstrate how you meet the Person Specification criteria by including clear examples in the ‘Summary’ section on your application. Please do not upload a CV in place of tailoring your application. Applications not tailored to the requirements of the role will not be shortlisted.
We understand you may not have a wealth of work experience to draw on so please include other skills and experiences you have gained when completing your university course and extracurricular activities.
We reserve the right to close vacancies once a sufficient number of applications have been received. So, submit your application as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
References and Eligibility
You must hold documentation that demonstrates your right to work in the UK for the duration of the internship (six months). Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor UK visa and work permit applications.
You will be asked to provide the names of two referees on your application. Please make sure that your referees have confirmed they are happy to provide a reference before submitting your application.
Please ensure that you provide the contact details of two academic referees if you have not previously had any form of employment.

We are unable to accept applications for university work placements, as you must be a 2022 or 2023 university graduate in order to apply.
You will be provided with IT equipment to enable you to undertake your internship remotely and any other equipment required to safely carry out your role.
